It's surely only a matter of time before the plot ramps up, hits autopilot and we get to witness the full extent of Seiya's powers. The animation is a little unexceptional and video-gamey, but clean and detailed. It also isn't as hectic or goofy/surreal as other anime I've seen — it's not afraid to hold on a shot and let us comprehend the fantastical images we're seeing. Sex and Skin: None. Parting Shot: Guraad sits at a big desk in a big office that's no doubt in a hidden lair in a different mountain than the other mountain with the hidden lair in it. "Find the Pegasus! " he barks at his minions. Sleeper Star: Guraad's hair needs its own bottle episode. Most Pilot-y Line: "It's happening again, but this time, it looks different! As these things inevitably go, he's taken to a hidden lair inside a mountain. He wakes up and meets Alman Kido (Marty Fleck), an oldish graybeard, and his purple-haired granddaughter Sienna (Emily Neves), who sure looks like she might be Athena reborn? We'll see. Kido spends the next several minutes of screentime explaining over cutaway flashbacks how there are powerful gods at war with his former business partner Vander Guraad (James Belcher), who wants to steal their power, and a group of zodiac-themed knights wants to prevent the war from destroying the world, and Seiya is one of those knights, a bronze one called Pegasus, and somehow, his lost sister is tied up in all this. Before Seiya can say Kido's story sounds like so much flying horse crap, Guraad shows up with his insanely spiky hair, scarred-up face, general's uniform, one mottled eye and his private-security goons, engages in a philosophical argument with Kido, and threatens to murder Sienna. I assume he's the bad guy. The goons take Seiya and Sienna.
