Unusually, background music is absent throughout scenes, but the dialogue is good. Lots of tears and maybe a touch too emotional. Not impressed with the final scene in which all the actresses line up as it is unrealistic. One to watch: Seven out of ten.

Hubiera sido una amiga maravillosa para Feriha. En resumen, hemos sido testigos del romance entre un príncipe encantador (con algunos momentos en los que se convirtió en rana) y una humilde muchacha (con todas las imperfecciones de un ser de carne y hueso). Pero, al final, con todas sus luces y sus sombras, Emir y Feriha demostraron bailando juntos y felices que mentiras, secuestros, disparos, peleas familiares, malentendidos y demás obstáculos no pudieron destruirlos porque, en los cuentos de hadas como éste, el amor sí es suficiente. zoya akhtar rather plays it safe with the political commentary, not going all out reducing it down to feeble punches and nudges—with the performances, ranveer radiates sheer energy and portrays restraint to evoke the inner turmoil in him. siddhant chaturvedi is a true find: he dominates every scene with his persona and is meant to stay. jay oza captures the towering mumbai and the downtrodden with equal finesse. Aspiring filmmakers should study Gully Boy as a masterclass in character creation. Every character has a place in the story's social fabric, and we see how they fit into the wider world — not just how they relate to the protagonist.
