Podríamos deducir que Crowe logra proyectar mejor su temple personal en el personaje de Claire Colburn que en el de Drew Baylor. En su obra maestra Casi famosos (2000), el cineasta delineó de la mano de la actriz Kate Hudson un personaje tremendo como fue Penny Lane, la hermosa grouppie prendada de amor a la vida y al rock, y que demostró su fuerte afinidad y preciso manejo en la creación de personajes femeninos. Además, amolda su universo expresivo al contexto de cualquier trama, que en el caso de Elizabethtown sería el retorno a un pequeño pueblo de gran corazón para encontrar las respuestas interiores. Como ocurre con toda historia que se embrolla en una ambiciosa narración múltiple, Todo sucede en Elizabethtown es susceptible de mejora. Por ratos su hilo conductor se disipa en nuevos argumentos que por suerte son conexos a la trama principal, pero que no evitan cierta desazón. Por suerte, Crowe, además de ser un gran cineasta, es un excelente guionista y supera el traspié manejando un ritmo sobrio que se mantiene expectante a vertientes de carácter romántico.
Really feel for Lowry. You can really tell he wanted this. I hope he retires as a Raptor. He has been the best player we've ever had from a lot of standpoints. The dude deserves all the success in the world. Kyle's comments also solidified in my mind that Fred won't likely be back next year. He's going to get paid and I don't think we can afford to keep him without losing flexibility moving forward. Which is great for Fred. The guy bet on himself and it paid off. But this is a business, and there are a bunch of holes that we need to fill going forward and Fred isn't without his faults (too much hero ball, when his shot isn't falling things can get ugly on the offensive end, doesn't run the offense that great, etc).
