A favor: Sin ser brillante, el guión de Laugier es totalmente impredecible y consigue mantener al espectador interesado siguiendo una sencilla y básica regla de oro: responder paulatinamente a las preguntas "¿quién? ", "¿cómo? ", "¿dónde? " y "¿por qué? ". En contra: El subrayado de la pregunta final con la que se cierra el filme y, en general, toda la subtrama que concierne al personaje de Jenny. El deseo de los propios niños por ser apartados de sus padres podría haber resultado una variante interesante si se le hubiese dado el espacio adecuado y se hubiese desarrollado de forma inteligente.
